INTRODUCTION

The course has been developed in conjunction with Cork City FC, MFA & National League of Ireland and the FAI to enable participants to improve their skills and gain worthwhile qualifications to work in the Soccer and leisure sector in general. The Syllabus covers a broad range of theoretical and practical modules designed to equip the student with the necessary skills and qualifications to progress in higher education.

Year 2/3

Having successfully completed 1st year, qualified students have the option of going on to Year 2 of Coach Education or applying for a place in Higher National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science. Places are limited and entry into the Higher National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science is based on academic performance and on interview.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Target Group to include Leaving certificate or Equivalent Mature Students FETAC L1 or Equivalent. All applicants must have a letter of recommendation from a recognised club or the FAI. Candidates may be required to attend a soccer specific trial prior to gaining entry.

FURTHER EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
