INTRODUCTION

The development of the Internet as a key resource tool for business practice has opened up many avenues in modern commerce. This course has been designed to provide the student with a sound foundation in the practical aspects of eBusiness and commercial computing. The fundamental emphasis is on developing the student's proficiency in using the Internet as a marketing tool, designing commercial web-sites, providing online e-solutions and acquiring practical business skills. It will be of benefit to anyone interested in working in the Information & Communications Technology Sector or in an eCommerce/business environment.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Candidates seeking entry to this programme should have a good Leaving Certificate and display an aptitude for commerce, computing and web design. All prospective candidates will be interviewed individually and places will be awarded on merit.

WORK EXPERIENCE

All students are expected to participate in mandatory work placement in a relevant industrial or commercial environment.
