Lios na nÓg Crèche is a subsidised facility on the college campus available to students and staff attending the college. It is open from 8.45am-4.45pm Monday to Friday during the academic year.
Parents are advised that advance booking is necessary as places are limited. The waiting list opens at the start of February if you wish to place your child’s name on it.
Our aim is to deliver a safe, suitable and caring environment for the children in which they are encouraged to grow and develop to their full potential. The emphasis is on fun and learning through play. Our programme is designed to make a positive contribution to yours child’s holistic development.
The crèche premises are bright and cheerful consisting of spacious playrooms with a variety of equipment suitable for a range of age groups. There are separate areas for kitchen/dinning, sleep rooms, toilets and changing facilities. There is also a large well equipped playground. The facility complies with current childcare legislation and is inspected on a yearly basis by the Health Service Executive.
The childcare team is made up of competent staff with a variety of qualifications and experience. The team is committed to providing a caring, fun and safe environment for the children.
Structured daily routines are in place for wobblers, toddlers and pre-schoolers with after school care also available.
It is the policy of the crèche to promote a healthy nutritious lifestyle for the children in our care. We provide a healthy buffet style breakfast, hot dinner and buffet style tea each day. Special dietary requirements or parent’s wishes will be respected.
Camps
Lios na nÓg Crèche run themed camps during mid-terms and school holidays (e.g. Halloween Camp, Easter Camp and Summer Camps) The camps are open to the public and cater for a wide age range from 18 months to 6 years.
The camp leaders have childcare qualifications therefore activities are age appropriate and ratios are low.
