This is a two year course.

FOR THE ADULT RETURNER

Access with Social Studies is ideally suited to the adult who is interested in the psychology and the development of the person. To allow for different interests, a wide selection of options are offered in both years. The programme provides participants who have been out of education the opportunity to return to a tailor-made course in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

Students who attend this course can achieve a FETAC (NCVA) Level 5 Award in Community and Health Services

CAREER PROSPECTS

This course allows students to access work in the caring profession. Employment in nursing homes, hospitals and other caring professions are open to students with this award.

This course has links with the Adult Education Department in CIT and with the Social Studies Departments of UCC and CIT
