INTRODUCTION
This FÁS funded programme is intended to give Community
Employment participants an opportunity to avail of basic education.
The course will help to develop reading and
writing skills as well as mathematics and computer skills. Areas
such as personal development and job orientation skills will
be included in the course.
SPECIAL FEATURES
The course is designed to take full account of the needs and
requirements of the participants. This will include a flexible,
caring approach by the highly-qualified tutors. The group size
will be small to ensure that each participant will gain maximum
benefit from time spent on the course.
Services available will include access to Career Guidance within
the college.

FURTHER EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Access (based on interview) to full-time courses at Coláiste
Stiofáin Naofa and other educational institutes.
CERTIFICATION
On satisfactory completion of the course students receive a
college certificate.
