INTRODUCTION

This Community Employment Scheme is one with a difference. Trainees have a chance to gain a qualification in childcare
and work in the College Crèche at the same time. The time spent on the Scheme is divided between attending classes and working in the crèche.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must be eligible for a FÁS Community Employment Scheme

CERTIFICATION

National Vocational Certificate in Childcare, Level 5.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements. An interest in working with children is essential.

FURTHER EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates from this course may wish to continue their interest in childcare by choosing diploma or degree courses in Childcare in Cork and also other colleges in the country.
